"Korn had its origins in the early 1990s as the metal band LAPD. That band
featured guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer and Brian "Head" Welch, bassist
Reginald "Fieldy Snuts" Arvizu, and drummer David Silveria. Vocalist
Jonathan Davis joined in 1993 and they changed their name to Korn. Their
debut album was released in 1994 and "Blind" was an MTV hit. Korn's second album,
1996's Life Is Peachy, eventually rose to Number 3 on pop album charts.
Their next album, 1998's Follow The Leader, debuted at number 1. Korn
promoted the album by creating the Family Values festival tour and it
became an annual event. Their follow up album, Issues, was another
Number 1 in 1999. Following the Issues tour, Korn took a hiatus and
some members worked on solo projects. They returned with Untouchables
in 2002 and Take A Look In The Mirror in 2003."
